Flight Arrivals at Valencia Airport
The city and port of Valencia are located just 8 km to the west of Manises Airport, and arrivals at Valencia Airport have both metro underground train and local bus connections available to them for onward travel into the city center and the airport hotels.
By metro train it takes just 25 minutes to get into the Carrer de Colón, from where passengers have a number of onward travel options open to them. It takes just 15 minutes to reach the mainline train station by metro. Metro lines 3 and 5 serve the city center, the port and various important points in the metropolitan area of Valencia.
Bus line 150 operated by Metrobus takes 45 minutes to cover the main stops en route to Valencia city center. The underground train station can be accessed from the ground floor, where the regional or domestic terminal is located. The shuttle bus Aerobus service takes merely 20 minutes to cover the distance.
A Valencia Tourist Card permits pass holders to travel for free on urban public transport in the two most important zones A and B, which includes travel to and from the airport. The pass entitles pass holders to reduced entrance fees for many museums and leisure activities as well as discounts at participating shops and restaurants. A 24 hour pass costs EUR 15.00 per person, while a pass valid for 48 hours will be charged at EUR 20.00. A 72 hour pass costs EUR 25.00 per adult.
In comparison, Valencia Airport arrivals choosing to pay for a single, one-way ticket for one zone on the metro will be charged EUR 1.50 for the journey, while a ticket for two zones will already cost EUR 2.10 for a one-way journey. If a lot of sightseeing is planned during a stay in Valencia, a Valencia Tourist Card can offer great savings.
The terminal provides arrivals at Valencia Airport with various food outlets ranging from a cafeteria to a Mediterranean style restaurant and a Burger King fast food outlet. Banking services with an ATM are also present in the terminal, as are business meeting rooms and conference facilities, baby changing rooms to make families more comfortable, a VIP lounge, a pharmacy and various shops selling anything from books, newspapers and magazines to food and gifts.
Onward travel destinations and connecting flights to other Spanish cities like Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid or Seville are at hand – it is also possible to stay in Valencia for a few days and then visit the Balearic Island of Mallorca or fly out to the party island Ibiza for a great time with friends. International onward connections include Bristol and London in the UK, Frankfurt and Berlin in Germany, Brussels in Belgium and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Nearly 6 million passengers passed through the gates at Valencia Airport last year, making the airport Spain's 8th busiest in terms of air passenger numbers. There is only one international terminal and one runway at the present time, but a new regional terminal has taken some of the strain off the original passenger terminal.
Valencia Airport serves as hub for Air Nostrum, Ryanair, Wondair and Vueling with many new destinations being added every year to improve services to air passengers.
